I am a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company and the Managing Partner of the India office. Prior to this, I led McKinseys Asia-Pacific Organization Practice and founded the McKinsey Leadership Institute in India. Part of the founding team that set-up the India office in 1993, I work extensively with global and Indian clients primarily in the Pharma, Healthcare, IT/high-tech and industrial sectors on a range of topics including strategy, organization, globalization and growth. I am passionate about growing leading Indian companies into globally-competitive institutions. I believe developing more global greats from India can help accelerate the socio-economic development of our country. I am also passionate about the role of the CEO and CEO leadership and effectiveness. To this end, I convene McKinseys CEO Bower Forum across Asia, having worked with over 100 CEOs to sharpen their mandate through this platform. I have co-authored Mastering the CEO mandate: 10 ideas that work, published by the McKinsey Leadership Institute in 2018. I am a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), a global platform to engage and empower chief executives. I am also a Global Council member at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and a member of the National Council at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
