Pavan spearheads Uber’s operations in India/SA. He is responsible for marketplace operations, supply acquisition and retention, driver operations, platform safety, quality and compliance. Prior to joining Uber, Pavan was the Global Chief Operating Officer of UnitedLex Corporation. He was responsible for the operations, technology and shared services functions across Americas, Europe and Asia. Pavan was also a member of the UnitedLex board. Pavan joined UnitedLex from IBM Daksh Process Services where he was the guiding force behind transforming the company from an emerging enterprise into one of the largest and most respected companies in the Global BPO industry. While CEO of IBM Daksh, Pavan was responsible for more than 40,000 professionals and significant delivery centers in India, the Philippines, Egypt, Costa Rica, the United States and Singapore. Pavan also led the acquisition of Redpill Analytics that formed the basis for IBM’s high value business analytics group based out of Singapore. Prior to IBM and the founding of Daksh, Pavan co-founded Quadrant Infotech, an offshore data capturing business focused on the US market. Prior to founding Quadrant, Pavan taught Physics at his Alma Mater, The Doon School, Dehradun. Passionate about building organizations that leave a legacy, Pavan has worked hard to create an inclusive, global culture within organizations. He was a member of the IBM Integration & Values Team, a senior leadership team instituted by IBM's Chairman of Board and CEO Sam Palmisano. Pavan is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE). As an active angel investor, Pavan works closely with the CEOs of multiple startups to mentor and guide them. Pavan is an alumnus of the Indian Institute Technology (IIT), Kharagpur and holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engg from Stanford University. He is also a Graduate of the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School.
