My experience and professional exposure has opportune me to understand various businesses as well as be an integral part of their planning & policy execution teams. Post qualification I have risk management exposure with various sectors ie Securities, Banking and Life Insurance. My articleship training at Deloitte Haskins & Sells, where I handled Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, and Quarterly Reporting. At Lehman Brothers, during pre financial crisis period, I was responsible for restructuring the chart of accounts, handled project on accounts. As a Qualified Chartered Accountant I began my career with ICICI Securities Ltd., leading Brokerage House with Corporate Risk Management department, I handle investment and risk policy for highly dynamic proprietary desk. I was responsible for managing equity and derivatives portfolio risk for HNI segment. Later I moved to ICICI Bank, where i was responsible for risk management of the proprietary desk of the bank. I was associated with HDFC Life where I was part of risk management team. I was responsible to set up investment risk team for the organisation. Presently, I am part of Market Risk reporting team at Nomura. Responsible for maintenance of hierarchy as per as per the business and product type. Part of project to change the hierarchy structure as per BCBS 239. ie to make a global hierarchy structure. Responsible for data validation of securities which are provided for collateral. Responsible for computation and preparation of COREP returns for EMEA region from Market Risk perspective. Responsible for computation of RWA/ capital charge for market risk as per standardised approach.
