Co Founder, Dineout.. My colleagues trust me to spearhead Dineout's expansion and SAAS products distribution in the overseas markets. They believe in my global business acumen and my ability to navigate through international opportunities. Dineout came into existence in the year 2012, and after a round of successful angel investment, it was acquired by Times Internet group in 2014.My friends; Ankit, Nikhil and Sahil, and I, grew up together. So, partnering to launch one of the best restaurant tech products in the world was only natural. As youngsters, we loved going out and socialising. But as our professional journey began, we went separate ways. Even when we overcame work schedule challenges to meet up, we were faced with a messier demon of not being able to get into the restaurant of our choice. But this turned out to be our eureka moment.Soon I left my successful career in the merchant navy to manifest my vision to offer a great dining experience to the Indian diners. Over the past eight years, we spearheaded through an array of acquisitions expanding Dineout's portfolio in both B2C & B2B services. Dineout successfully seated more than 40M diners at more than 50,000 restaurants in 20 cities in 2019. It drove transactions of more than $800M for Dineout's partner restaurants annually. We also ventured into international markets and positioned Dineout as a premier platform.Before Dineout, I was sailing across the vast oceans, as a professional in the Merchant Navy. Initially, I was sailing on Italian/British owned vessels with Vships and British Petroleum. In the later part as a suave sailor, I cleared Chief Officers' exam and for over 10 years helmed the safety policies for DG Shipping in India.I am a restless soul by nature, always looking for new opportunities to explore. This led me to explore opportunities for strategic alliances with restaurant tech partners across the Middle East, Singapore, Africa etc. I managed to launch Dineout in these markets successfully. I have effectively driven comprehensive global campaigns and have established brand guidelines, growth strategies, evaluated restaurant needs in foreign markets, and tweaked marketing plans and offerings based on each country's economy. My friends and colleagues at Dineout believe that my worldly experience is second to none. But in reality, it's the passion to set sail across the vast ocean of global markets that drives me.In my leisure time, I enjoy watching movies; especially political dramas, and pen down some soulful verses.
