Overview & Commitment

These Refund Terms describe VentureSuite's policy on subscription cancellations, refunds, and billing disputes. They form part of our Terms of Service and apply to all paid subscriptions and service engagements on the Platform.

Our commitment: VentureSuite operates on a flat subscription model. There are no success fees, no commissions on capital raised, and no hidden charges. We believe you should only pay for the Platform when you see value in it. That is why we offer a 14-day free trial on all paid plans — no card charged until day 15.

All paid founder plans start with a 14-day free trial. Your card is never charged until day 15. Cancel before then with zero obligation.

Zero Success Fee
We never charge a percentage of any fundraise. Your subscription is the entirety of your financial obligation to us, regardless of how much you raise.

Cancel Any Time
Cancel your subscription at any time from account settings. No notice period. No cancellation fee. No questions asked.

Fair Dispute Resolution
All billing disputes are reviewed fairly and responded to within 5 business days. We will always do what is right under applicable consumer protection law.

14-Day Free Trial

All paid founder subscription plans (Basic, Pro, and Premium) include a 14-day free trial period for new accounts.

Full access from day one
Your trial begins immediately on account activation. You get full access to all features of your chosen plan from the moment you sign up — no restricted preview mode.

Card required, not charged
We require a valid payment method on file to start a paid trial. This card is not charged until day 15. We do not make any authorisation charges or holding charges during the trial period.

Reminder before charge
We send a reminder email 3 days before your trial ends. If you do not wish to continue, you can cancel immediately from Settings → Subscription → Cancel Plan before day 15.

One trial per entity
The free trial is available once per founder entity (startup). Creating multiple accounts to access additional trials is a violation of our Terms of Service.

Investor access
Verified investor access is free during Phase 1 (through Month 6 of platform operation). No trial or payment details required for Phase 1 investor access.

Cancel before day 15 = zero charge, guaranteed. If your card is charged in error during a valid trial period, contact us immediately and we will issue a full refund within 3 business days.

Monthly Subscription Cancellation

Monthly subscriptions (Basic, Pro, Premium) are billed in advance at the beginning of each monthly billing cycle.

Cancellation Process

To cancel your monthly subscription:

  • Log in → Settings → Subscription → Cancel Plan.
  • Confirm cancellation in the dialog box. You will see the exact date your access ends.
  • Your data and campaign are archived (not deleted) for 90 days after cancellation.
  • You may resubscribe at any time and your data will be restored.

Annual Subscription Refunds

Annual subscriptions are charged upfront for a full 12-month period at a 25% discount compared to monthly pricing. Our refund policy for annual subscriptions reflects both your right to cancel and our costs incurred.

Annual Plan Savings Preserved

When a pro-rated refund is issued on an annual subscription, the refund is calculated based on the annual price (not the higher monthly price). The 25% annual discount applies to the months used, and refund is issued for the unused months at the discounted annual rate.

Example: Pro Annual plan at ₹89,988/year (₹7,499/month). Cancelled after 3 months. Refund = 9 months × ₹7,499 = ₹67,491 — issued to original payment method within 5–7 business days.

Venture Services Refunds

Venture Services engagements (fundraising support, GTM consulting, strategy retainers) are governed by separate service agreements signed at the start of each engagement. The following principles apply:

Fundraising Retainer
Retainer fees are non-refundable once work has commenced (as evidenced by first deliverable or first advisory session). If no work has commenced within 7 days of payment, a full refund may be requested. Retainer fees are distinct from any success fee, which is only payable upon a defined funding close event.
Non-Refundable Post-Commencement

GTM Consulting Engagements
Fixed-fee GTM engagements are non-refundable once the kick-off session has occurred. If an engagement is cancelled before the kick-off call, a full refund is provided less any documented out-of-pocket preparation costs incurred by VentureSuite.
Pre-Kick-off Refundable

Strategy Retainers (Monthly)
Monthly strategy retainers may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice. No refund for the current month if notice is given after the billing date. Pre-paid multi-month retainers: pro-rated refund for unused months after the 30-day notice period.
30-Day Notice

No refund where: The engagement was cancelled due to the client's failure to provide required information or cooperation, the client has received and retained the primary deliverable, or the cancellation is in breach of the service agreement.

Billing Disputes

If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, please contact us promptly. We are committed to resolving all billing disputes fairly and quickly.

Raising a Dispute
  • Disputes must be raised within 60 days of the charge date.
  • Contact us at legal@theventuresuite.com with: your account email, the charge amount, the charge date, and a description of why you believe the charge is incorrect.
  • We will acknowledge your dispute within 24 hours and provide a resolution within 5 business days.
Chargebacks

We ask that you contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card provider. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in account suspension pending investigation. If a chargeback is found to be unjustified (e.g., subscription was active and services were provided as described), we reserve the right to terminate your account and pursue recovery of the chargeback amount plus applicable processing fees.

GST Invoices

GST-compliant tax invoices are automatically generated for all paid transactions and are available for download from your account (Settings → Billing → Invoices). If you need a corrected invoice, contact legal@theventuresuite.com.

Exceptions & Special Circumstances

We recognise that circumstances beyond a user's control may affect their ability to use the Platform. We review the following exceptions on a case-by-case basis:

Medical Emergency
In the event of a serious medical emergency affecting the account holder or an immediate family member, we will consider a full pro-rated refund upon provision of supporting documentation.
🏢
Company Closure
If your startup ceases operations (winding up, acquisition with no continued use case), we will provide a pro-rated refund for unused subscription months upon provision of relevant documentation.
⚠
Platform Failure
If VentureSuite experiences a service disruption of more than 48 cumulative hours in a billing month, affected subscribers will receive a pro-rated credit for the downtime period.

Consumer Protection Law
Refunds required under applicable consumer protection legislation (including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019) will always be provided in accordance with the statutory requirements, regardless of the above policy.

Exception requests must be submitted to legal@theventuresuite.com with the subject line "Refund Exception Request" and relevant supporting documentation. Decisions are final but may be appealed to our CEO at legal@theventuresuite.com.

How to Request a Refund

The process for requesting a refund is simple and takes less than 5 minutes:

Self-Service (within 48 hours of charge)
Go to Settings → Billing → Request Refund. Select the charge in question and submit your refund request. Eligible refunds within the 48-hour window are processed automatically within 3 business days.

Refund Processing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing time: 3–5 business days for credit cards; 5–7 business days for debit cards and UPI; up to 10 business days for bank transfers.

Confirmation
You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated, along with a reference number. A revised GST invoice (credit note) will be issued where applicable.
